If he violates a subpoena, he could be disbarred. And an AG must be a lawyer. (nt) ehrnst Apr 2019 #16
There is no requirement that AG be a lawyer, just that he be confirmed by the Senate. tritsofme Apr 2019 #21

It would be up to the State bar associations where he has a law license and/or is a member of that specific state bar association.

Straight from their website:

Does the ABA discipline lawyers?

No. The ABA is not a lawyer disciplinary agency and has no authority to investigate or act upon complaints filed against lawyers. Each state has its own agency that performs that function in regard to lawyers practicing in that state.

They took away our cleaning service. In a month, the carpet became encrusted with soil and filth, and next came its odor. By the time someone thought to bring in a personal vacuum cleaner and try to clean the carpet, it was too late. That stuff got as hard as adobe. A quarter would bounce off it. We brought in our hand soap, paper towels, and toilet paper because we expected any day they would stop providing that. But, they either didn't think of it, or they extended a small mercy.

The Obama administration appealed the case until they were out of office. The Trump DOJ settled it by giving Congress a few the documents being requested.
