et al. trump, at any time, may decide his best survival bet might be an impeachment proceeding while 'cons still hold the Senate and give him a pass. trump then massively claims Senate finds him INNOCENT of witch hunt charges.

The real worry: if Trump is removed from office without being taken off the air, he'll convince his minions that this is all the Democrats' fault. Never mind that Trump really is a crook.
