Iran has a sophisticated Army and Air Force, and will fight to the last man to defend its sovereignty. Persian history is rich. Trump will not be able to create a coalition of the willing with our allies, because he has pissed them all off. Israel has its own reasons for going to war with Iran.

It's occurred to me that Trump's only real motivation is the cheering of his base. Public adulation is the only reason Trump even ran for president. No actual desire to make America "great again" in and of itself, only the desire to be credited and adored upon success. His campaign platform started off with nearly nothing ,pretty much just "I'm the guy that's rich and famous for being the 'master of the deal', and I'm going to make better deals than these other guys". His platform was "I'm gonna Trump-ify the White House".

All the specific policies have come about from a)the things that cause the loudest cheers at his rallies and b)the machinations and manipulations of the people in his campaign and administration.

He will do anything that draws cheers from his base. Anything.

Defy democrats? LOUD cheers, no matter what the defiance is - even flagrant disregard for the law.

Get drawn into a war? Absolutely. When it's framed as "defending ISRAEL, and the USA", the cheers will be absolutely rabid.

This is the ONLY thing driving this man. He has no morals, no respect for the law, and no compassion, we've seen that over and over again. He is nothing but a deeply flawed ego, seeking the next fix that makes him feel like maybe he's not worthless.
