Is change afoot on Flyover Country?

Or is Lincoln a liberal oasis in a desert of magats?

I live in Lincoln, Nebraska...red state...but we just voted a Democratic woman to the office of Mayor, running against a Trump supporting homophobe who was on the city council, and the homophobe not only lost her race but a gay man is replacing her on the city council!

That’s a city. Remember in 2008 Obama got one vote from that state from the urban area. That state allows division of the EC votes.

but we should still celebrate every victory. Nebraska, Kansas, Iowa, Missouri, etc. have elected Dems to statewide office in the past.

to the governor's office was big, I thought. Iowa moved from red to pink last year as well, though the Democrat lost a close election.

I've spent time working there on 2 occasions. I can't recall if the airport has 2 gates, or 4. It's not a large city by any means.

I was concerned that bigot was going to win. I did see a lot of her signs around town. The rest of the state of course is red. I don't think I've ever seen anyone else from Lincoln on here!

Peace
