Speaker Pelosi is right, and given that, what are the next steps after her statement?

Nancy Pelosi says that she agrees with Nadler that the U.S. is in a 'constitutional crisis' because "the administration has decided that they are not going to honor their oath of office."

Yup - the House gets to drive the narrative now, and must do so to form public opinion. lagomorph777 May 2019 #7

And she's not sure when the full House vote on Barr's contempt will be because they may want to have other contempt votes at the same time.

*sigh* Kicking the can down the road.

And she's refusing to open an impeachment inquiry NOW. There is no reason to not start an impeachment inquiry immediately. Not one. And such an inquiry makes it MORE LIKELY that judges will rule for the House.

There is no excuse for not starting an impeachment inquiry. An inquiry is NOT impeachment!

It's all part of the same process and a distinction without a difference.

than an ordinary committee. Trump's game plan isn't to win court cases, it's to delay the cases in the courts.
Democrats have more of an argument for the courts to expedite rulings under an impeachment hearing.

This is going to be settled in the courts, House hearings are toothless tigers since Subpoenas are being ignored and no documents are being turned over.

McGahn even stated that he won't testify until his situation is settled legally.
Mueller may be willing to testify, but can he just show up to a House hearing if Trump challenges him in court on executive privilege grounds? Remember, Trump doesn't want to win his legal challenges, he just wants to delay everything until after the election.
