Just now on Rachel, Schiff proposed Inherent Contempt as a way to avoid court delays and avoid playing Trump's run-out-the-clock game. He specifically mentioned both imprisonment and fines as remedies via Inhernet contempt.

(15,684 posts)As inherent contempt is not a statutory crime as I understand, but a procedural penalty. Pardoning for inherent contempt would raise issues of separation of powers I think...
