Think the GOP is regretting cutting funds from FEMA and the NOAA?

As the Republican Party gathers in Tampa for its presidential convention, Tropical Storm Isaac is barreling up the coast of Florida, delaying the proceedings.

Federal agencies such as the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) and the National Ocean and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) are working hard to keep track the progress of the storm and keep Americans safe.

But those Republicans who are now seeking shelter and receiving the help of these agencies have a history of working to gut their budgets.

Isn't it that the Republicans hate government until it's government that benefits them?

I defy them to start releasing the balloons. Howl and shriek. Make monkeys of themselves. Watch it all be upstaged by Obama calmly responding to a real emergency, Obama proving that when it comes to protecting and helping ordinary Americans in trouble, he is the one who gets the job done, not the nitwits in Tampa who will be watching their very expensive balloons deflate around them like whoopie cushions.

what do they care about people in the flooded streets? It's their fault for not getting rich and protecting themselves.

They assume they can cut services and have them too, much like eating your cake and have it too.
