I don't think I've ever seen "talking heads" on Maddow's show. It's unbecoming. (Original Post) Irishxs May 2019 OP
Why? Most cable shows have guests offering opinions. brush May 2019 #1
I haven't seen them anywhere since 1988 Dennis Donovan May 2019 #2
She usually has one very good, decent, in depth interview, Ari had talking heads in. For Rachel. Irishxs May 2019 #3

I think it's b/c it was Ari.. He does talking heads on his shows, right? Rachel just interviews just one person.

for her programming. Her time slot has the highest ratings and why ruin a good thing. Maddow is the go to for facts and Talking Heads are all about spreading a Narrative or a divisive meme.

I never noticed until a few months ago when she interviewed three of the Parkland shooting survivors and mentioned that she was making an exception to her practice of not interviewing multiple people in a segment.

That's one of the things that make her show excellent. She can let her guests speak, get information, and ask follow-up questions without the shoutfests we've become used to.
