Child support begins at conception

Let's bring all the scientific resources we can to verify paternity within weeks of conception and then start docking unmarried male partners with half of all medical expenses plus immediate commencement of child support. Isn't that the natural extension of the Alabama and Missouri laws?

I don’t think most boys and men are gonna like it. Let’s have the full picture drawn for those folks. I don’t think most of these boys and men have realized fully what these increasingly extreme laws will mean for them.

A significant percentage of men to their best to avoid actual responsibility for the babies they create.

Even St. Steve Jobs claimed he was sterile to avoid paying child support for his daughter. Among the many reasons to despise that man.

Support (and the ability to deduct the child on state taxes) from the date abortion is illegal are part of the law that bans nearly all abortion.

Child support (and the ability to deduct the child as a dependent on state taxes) begin at the same moment abortion become illegal.

I've seen this suggestion so many times posted as if it is so ludicrous the lawmakers wouldn't accept it - when it is precisely what is already in the laws.

After all, a significant portion of married males have sexual contacts with women other than the partner they are married to. Shouldn't those men be required to support any children they father whether or not they are in a legally sanctioned partnership?

In Ohio, an 11 year old rape victim is left with just one choice, and that is to have the rapist baby.

Since, as an 11 yeaar old, she cannot work, it is left up to the state to make sure she is financially responsible. The state of Ohio should foot the bill for everything from baby socks to catastrophic health care and certainly that involves when the fetus develops a heartbeat. This should not be for just this one case.
