It annoyed me this morning when he did it on Morning Joe. Seemed like he was playing the same line again tonight on O'Donnell's show. The very idea that next week we'll have all forgotten about this so-called joke is ridiculous. Birtherism has been alive and well throughout President Obama's time in office, trotted back out in the primaries and all summer in Romney's pathetic attempt to sell himself to the electorate. If Brokaw thinks it will all just fade away or that we'll forgive him for his "lame joke" or is blatant attempt to interject that topic back into the campaign, he can think again. We are sick of it and now ready to call the Republicans on their obvious use of that issue to divide us and to do a call out to their base. Chris Matthews' pummeling of Reinse Pribus on Morning Joe this morning was the shot across the bow to let them know they are not going to get the free ride they are expecting for the next 60 something days until the election.

To coin a phrase.....We're mad as hell and we're not going to take it any more!

is confusing the old Republican party with the New Republican/Teabagger Party.

Tom, they aren't able to be reasoned with any more. Give it up. They are not going to act like civilized beings.
