(8,377 posts)If they are informed, it will be a landslide. If Rove and Koch can succeed at the disinformation campaign, they could win in a squeaker.
If you just look at the Medicare issue alone, no informed voter would vote for the Republicans on this. But they are hammering away at the "Obama stile $714 million" line and the Obama campaign has not found an effective way to deal with that. They have an opportunity during the debates.

(12,461 posts)GOP knows this strategy alone won't work...why they need to disenfranchise people from the voting booth.
The very people who would be horribly affected by GOP in power, are the very people they are obstructing from the polls.

(8,377 posts)Their disenfranchisement stuff is mostly just the same old Jim Crow, Southern Strategy stuff that has gone on since blacks gained the right to not be 3/5 of a "genuine person." The numbers are bigger than ever. That just means they are getting more desperate and more accomplished at election fraud.
But there are plenty of white folk that going to be really badly screwed with what these bastards are planning to do with Social Security and Medicare. We will not be able to stop all the election fraud. But we ought to be able to educate millions about what Ryan/Romney have in store for Social Security and Medicare.
