Just that Meachem is known to lean 'liberally' in commentary.

On edit: Their new 'book tour'. This book could get red and blue states together is their thinking. 😏

I have an immediate something regarding artists of 'country' music. That's all. Apologies.

And of course there's Steve Earle and Sturgill Simpson ...

Isbell, Earle and Simpson though are generally considered 'roots rock' or 'Americana'. Which are other ways of saying 'country-ish stuff with a liberal bent'.

The Byrd's 'Sweetheart of the Rodeo', featuring Gram Parsons, is kinda the original album of the genre.

Kacey Musgraves is a country singer who seems pretty dang liberal, and I don't get the feeling Brad Paisley (who's actually a damn good guitarist) is a wingnut either.

So they're out there

I could name-drop all night, I'm kinda a walking encyclopedia of 'country-like but non-wingnut' artists ... I'm big on the genre, as it were ... we have a little crowd of afficionados in the Music Appreciation forum
