You filed your taxes, getting a refund however small, and they are "holding" it? Something tells me there is not enough money in the Treasury to send you what is coming to you.

The MO General Assembly purposely passed their funding for the budget in such a way that only a few dozen are released every business day, with no rhyme or reason as to who is chosen.

It's a 0% loan from you.

I guess the strategy would be to get the refund amount to as close to zero as possible.

My wife is a small business person, some years we hit some years we miss.

They are required to pay interest, though it's less than one percent.

I'm worried at the last minute they will find an error and there will be a bill, accruing interest the entire time.

It's not uncommon for employees to owe because they don't take enough out.

I was surprised to find they owe me. I'm angry that they are purposely choosing not to validate until the fall.

.

He had the state so shittily managed that he would defer people's tax refunds for 3-4 months, all while the state played this, we need to to send in all of your supporting documentation requests to run the clock.

He did this for the last 3 years of his administration, because the state was effectively bankrupt. Christie ended up raiding the Transportation Trust Fund, which was a dedicated fund paid by gasoline taxes. This now caused NJ to increase it's gas tax by 30 cents per gallon.

Fiscal conservatives fuck up everything. That is why almost every Red State is a fucking moocher for Dem State money.

The wealthiest jump the queue, according to the auditor report and then the rest are dribbled to a few dozen at a time.
