I DO think the Moon/Mars criticism is a mistake. I think he really DID mean the moon research IS part of the Mars research.

In the future, should we decide to teraform Mars it is likely that the moon would be the most likely place to locate a staging port so that critical supplies, especially fuel, would be available without without having to re enter Earth's atmosphere.

it seemed likely that he was referring to a program in place to use the moon for a "staging port" as you put it.

Thank you for your post. It was informative to me. But Trump can't speak clearly and distinctly about a program he was briefed on, so it sounded ridiculous.

Hillary underwent something like 11 hours in one session.
