In this age of social media it's dawned on me that one important way to fight back is to be able to name what's going on. Of course I always have trouble remembering the name.... But here are some. I invite you to contribute to the list. Or come up with the word/phrase that I can't dredge up.

Dog whistle. (really valuable)
Headlines that sound really juicy for a mundane story.
(A recent post about a passenger opening an exit on a plane started me thinking about this post.)
