Trump just told the whole world it's OK to help me in the next election. It is now open season on the 2020 election. The Mueller investigation will go down in history as one the biggest failures ever. We all witnessed the conspiracy and Mueller completely failed. His excuse was, They lied to me so I could not do nothing. Fucking joke.
I am tired of people defending Mueller, a Republican. That chicken shit is still fighting against appearing before Congress.
Mueller could have ended this nightmare if he wanted to. He decided to pass the buck. You deal with it. I'm going home. Don't call me.

There are plenty of other things to get trump on. But when the lead investigator goes out of his way to say, we identified no evidence on at least 21 occasions, hes letting trump off the hook.
Obstruction is not as solid as getting him on conspiracy

(4,379 posts)Mueller failed to indict anyone. That is a gigantic failure. We are going to pay for that failure. We now have legalized conspiracy with foreign nations. Trump is going to take full advantage of that fact.

(4,379 posts)I am tired of Mueller getting a free pass for what he failed to do. He can still testify and do what is right. We shall see.

(14,311 posts)so to say he could have violated them "if he wanted to" is bullshit.
Mueller did not have the authority to charge the president. Congress does. That's not "passing the buck," that's following the Constitution.
I am tired of people calling a patriot who volunteered to fight and served admirably, rescuing fellow soldiers after he got shot, "chicken shit." Remember, Nadler is confident that Mueller WILL testify soon. Mueller may have reasons for not wanting his testimony to be a spectacle that divides the country, but being "chicken" is not one of them.
The counterintelligence probe is ongoing and "continuing robustly." Mueller finished his mandate, but the cases are not "closed." Look at all the referred cases in Appendix D. As just one example, the Stone case will likely establish in court that Wikileaks is a Russian front, and associates of Stone conspired to help facilitate the attack on our country.

(108,978 posts)I'm not talking about collusion, I"m talking about criminal conspiracy.
To charge criminal conspiracy, they would have to prove that Trump conspired with Russia before Russia undertook the criminal act.
What is the evidence for that?

(4,379 posts)He said there was insufficient evidence because people lied. destroyed evidence. The bottom line is he failed.

(108,978 posts)conspiracy been any more important than multiple charges of obstruction?
Trump couldn't be indicted for any of it, according to the OLC opinion. But obstructing the investigation of Russia's wrongdoing is an extremely serious offense -- which CAN be prosecuted after Trump leaves office, if someone doesn't pardon him.

(22,801 posts)He did a thorough investigation and he reported on all the details. It is the duty of Congress to hold the president responsible. Don't blame Mueller.
