(6,280 posts)If she were a decent person, without deceit and hate in her heart, her outward appearance would undoubtedly be more pleasant to gaze upon. When I see her on the podium with the ever-present disdainful sneer as she is lying and deceiving the American public, it shows.

Thats kind of mean although its a proven fact that lying makes you less than pretty. Look at Trunpolini, in a younger day he was a 4, now he is a negative 6.

(81,539 posts)Sarah Sanders was the disdainful Queen of Gaslighting
By Margaret Sullivan
Media columnist
June 14 at 9:37 AM
When Sarah Sanders said Thursday that she hopes to be remembered for her transparency and honesty, the first impulse was to laugh.
But lying to citizens while being paid by them really isnt all that funny.
Sanders took on an impossible job when she became President Trumps spokeswoman, a job thats about to reach a welcome conclusion.
She would claim to represent the truth on behalf of a president who lies.
She did it disrespectfully and apparently without shame or an understanding of what the role of White House press secretary should be.
She misled reporters or tried to, and through them, misled the American people. And all with her distinctive curled-lip disdain.
....
Honeycombe8

(37,648 posts)It's an "example" of the "lyin' press" per this guy. You're looking at it through the eyes of his opposition.
There are other sources, like direct sources, of things. No need to use rightwingnut sources.
People need to get more discriminating on where they get their info from. I've seen several things here that are fake, and no one even questioned it. Aren't we critical of Trumpers for being gullible and not checking sources directly; they just automatically believe anything negative about the opposition?

(11,595 posts)"...she burns facts and then she uses that ash to create a perfect smokey eye" shows only one of the two looked perfect. The other--not so much. Wolf had also made fun of Sarah's looks and not just her demeanor--a two for one joke reflecting that Sarah is as crooked on the outside as inside.

By definition, she IS a liar. A proven on videotape LIAR!
I would predict that her kids will suffer in any conflict because their mother would have no credence in defending them.

(5,770 posts)... at his age. He had to make a special and very competitive application in which he had to explain his motivation. He apparently had some exposure to naval personal while in the white house and was inspired by them.

(10,220 posts)CNN just reported that "WH aides" are blaming Sarah Sanders for Trump's disastrous interview with George Stephanopoulos.
DeminPennswoods
(15,286 posts)last evening. One part ABC teased was the beginning where Stephanopolous is already in the limo and Trump opens the door and says to his aides (or whoever was around) "Look who it is!". It was like a delighted child who just found out that one of his/her favorite TV stars showed up at the door just to hang out with him/her for a day.
Had no idea Stephanopolous spent 30 hours tagging along with Trump. Don't know how he kept a straight face the whole time. Stephanopolous served in the Clinton WH so he knows how "presidenting" is supposed to be done.

Got it. DU sure has changed. Now it's giving Trumpers a platform to get a bigger audience.

(37,648 posts)It also puts trust in a rightwingnut. NO ONE verified the Wash Post Instagram. (Yes, I saw it separately)
This is not the only time. This is happening more and more often in this forum. Citing a Trumper source. Twice before it was FAKE. The thing is...if people like what it says, that's good enough for them. They don't verify, don't even care who the source is. Like a shark feeding frenzy.
It's disappointing. Most DU members are a little better at keeping to facts and appropriate sources.
One of the things I 've liked most about DU is its reliance on facts, and real information cited to valid, legit sources.

People seem perplexed that there's an issue with citing to a rightwingnut source. Isn't there a rule against that?
Well, "whatever, Martha."

(4,125 posts)The source of information is the Washington Post. That it was posted to Twitter by a right-wing loon is irrelevant and making a fuss about that just distracts from the information in the Washington Post.
