Why do "good cops" let "bad cops" do this?

(5,124 posts)misdirection of law enforcement. At the same time police are chasing this family, guns drawn for a child stealing a fucking doll - something the parent should handle - I am sure there was a real criminal that needed to be apprehended. This is fucking ridiculous. What is wrong with our society?????
I am outraged as a tax payer because I do value police officers and I want them to pursue real criminals. Not children that take dolls from the dollar stores. Not a guy on the sidewalk selling loose cigarettes, or videos, sagging pants or any of these other senseless killings. Its fucking ridiculous. If people are not outraged by the senseless taking of lives. Are you not outraged that it takes away from the pursuit of real criminals? The tying up of the courts of bullshit cases while crime still floods the streets?
Couldn't the store employee that saw the child take the doll alert the parent? Back in the day, kids that shoplifted, you used to call their parents and the kid would get a whooping. OR whatever punishment the parents/family member felt was appropriate. Now you get guns drawn and a swat team and possible death sentence???
I remember some of us kids getting in trouble after school at Woolworth. A cookie for anyone that remembers Woolworth. Lol! I shudder to think how many of us would have ended up dead or in prison if the tactics of today were employed then.
