Multi-billion F-35 warplane ‘almost unflyable’ with new faults

By Richard Wood

Jun 14, 2019

Cockpit pressure causing pilots sinus pain and a coating that “blisters” at supersonic speeds are among an array of new problems detected in a multi-billion US warplane.
Nine major faults were identified in the F-35 stealth fighter jet as it entered service last year, according to US journal Defence News.

Australia has ordered 72 of the warplanes, built by US aerospace giant Lockheed Martin, at a cost of $125 million each.

The F-35 has been touted as the world’s most lethal jet fighter - it is almost undetectable by radar and flies at one-and-a-half times the speed of sound.
But the warplane’s development is way behind schedule and billions of dollars over budget.
And the new unreported faults suggest the aircraft may be in worse shape than the public realised. As well as putting pilots at risk they threaten the plane’s combat effectiveness.

1. Reality in America that needs a remedy:Homelessness Among the Elderly Expected to Triple in 10 Years

Why America’s Elderly Are Falling Through the Cracks

Most adults hope that by the time they reach age 65, they’ll be able to comfortably retire. They may dream of finally having time to pursue their interests or take up new hobbies. There’s a whole other segment of the elderly population, however, that isn’t living the life they dreamed of. These individuals worry about how they will eat, where they will sleep, and what will happen if they get sick.

The number of elderly individuals experiencing homelessness is rising. In the Annual Homeless Assessment Report, released by HUD, the number of elderly individuals experiencing sheltered homelessness nearly doubled from 4.1 percent in 2007 to 8 percent in 2017. It’s not slowing down, either. This population is expected to triple over the next decade.

A new study out of UCSF showed that almost half of all elderly homeless people became homeless after age 50. These statistics tells us that whatever the problem is, it’s related to age. The question we need to ask ourselves is, why are the elderly falling through the cracks?

Let alone crazy bills and poor healthcare, how could they save much for the future?

The elderly & their fans should start their own roommate finders web site?

A full care nursing home, in the U.S.A. you'll likely need over $3000 a month just for it.

Communes are going to make a strong comeback?

Until Citizen's United ruling is over-turned U.S. politics is just going to continue to suck, overall.

We still have a vote that matters, doesn't seem that way sometimes, but we do. CU must be overturned, 100% agreed.

7. Testing phase is almost over

The planning for the manufacture of the F-35 was ingenious.

They spread the jobs around many, many Congressional districts.
.

The revelation of the two performance flaws comes at a critical time for the 18-year-old F-35 program. Pentagon officials plan to declare an end to the testing phase of the F-35’s development sometime in late 2019 and clear the fighter for mass production.
