(12,509 posts)I would travel there next week if I could to see such a sight, with the appreciation of being a retired 45 year career biologist. Although, I could do without the Puma peek-a-boo thing.
However, such a beautiful place would find itself on everybody's bucket list, and get overwhelmed and screwed up like Machu Picchu is experiencing right now, or worse. How many thousands would buy that frog from a poacher for their apartment terrarium? Honduran violence and poverty is rampant. I hope that does not doom this eco-treasure for the quick buck.

(14,494 posts)in this era, this beautiful place will eventually be exploited for something: tourism, timber or some other resource. Too many powerful people just don't care about anything but themselves.
If told about this, Trump's first thought would be "what a great place to build a secluded resort".....
I'm not naturally a cynic but on a global scale, I'm slowly becoming one.
