As they March elsewhere in the city that gets more TV coverage.

One can only hope.

Or fife and drum groups.

Will their drill teams have tiki torches and give the Hitler salute to him?

Will the giant balloons be the baby Trump balloons?

I have been to DC for a July 4th celebration back in the 80's. I wouldn't be caught dead at one that's arranged by this criminal administration. That makes me sad. I also won't be watching any of it on TV.

I will not watch one second of his stupid stealing of the holiday nor watch one second of any news that includes clips of him frothing and lying.

These – probably also the drill teams – are standard, every-year elements of the regular, annual, DC 4th of July parade. (The fife and drum corps typically shows up just before the public outdoor reading of the Declaration of Independence in front of the National Archives).

What is new, unprecedented, and beyond disgusting, is Trump misappropriating this nonpartisan, patriotic-in-the-best-sense day and turning it into a divisive, narcissistic, partisan event to cast attention on himself and his anti-American agenda.

Just infuriating.
