I'm a Democrat since 1965, a Baptized and Chrismated Orthodox Christian since 1947, and thus it's my spiritual nature to cry out to the Lord God to right these horrific wrongs and bring justice, speedily.

I will be messaging those in the various jurisdictions I can to see what formal pronouncements regarding the treatment of these little sparrows will be forthcoming.

This treatment of the innocents deserves spiritual condemnation.

Otherwise, why do we profess to accept Christ and His teachings?

13. She wore that I Really Don't Care Do U? jacket to an immigrant children's shelter

June 2, 2018

(CNN)First lady Melania Trump took a trip to the US-Mexico border on Thursday to tour an immigrant children's shelter, but her trip is getting attention not only for her action, but also for her wardrobe choice before and after the journey.

As the first lady boarded her plane from Andrews Air Force Base, she wore an olive green jacket. The back of the jacket read: "I really don't care. Do u?" in white graffiti-style lettering. Trump was not wearing the jacket when she landed in McAllen, Texas. She re-donned the jacket and wore it when she deplaned back at Andrews Air Force Base despite the media storm that had erupted over her initial wearing.

I am furious. This stupid bitch wears a coat like that, turns her back on these suffering children in her husband's concentration camps and then has the fucking nerve to say ""There is no greater opportunity than that of helping children reach their fullest potential as they grow up."

I can't even say what I really want to say and what I really want to happen to her and her despicable husband. I have never hated anybody so much in my life. This cannot go on much longer without some intervention.

and the gala launch parties begin, a massive media campaign kicks off, tRumpskin holds a couple of celebrity golf tournaments, thousands of letters and memos circulate throughout government and industry, and hundreds of posters and billboards pop up around the nation.

And in two year's time, I'll bet the net significant benefit to our children will be: ZILCH......

and the net extracted benefit for tRumpskin, his children and some select corporations: $$Tens of Millions.

That's the way the GOP rolls....

.. RIP to little Wilmer. We are sorry we played a part in your unnecessary death through the evil misuse of our tax dollars. We will not forget you or your warm smile!

The BBC commemorated Wilmer's passing with an article explaining the circumstances of his death and coverage of his funeral in Guatemala:

Migrant boy who died after detention at US border buried
BBC News, 27 May 2019

Read it here: https://www.bbc.com/news/world-latin-america-48421861

(snips)

The funeral has been held for Wilmer Josué Ramírez, a migrant boy aged two and a half, who died after being held in US custody with his mother. Doctors said he died of pneumonia.

He is the youngest of six children to have died since December either while in US detention or shortly after being released or transferred to hospital. His mother is reportedly still being held in US custody and could not attend the funeral, which was held in their hometown of Olopa in eastern Guatemala.
------------
Wilmer Josué Ramírez died on 14 May. He had been detained along with his mother near the Mexican border city of Ciudad Juárez, one of the main crossing points into the US. His body was repatriated to Guatemala so he could be buried in his hometown.
------------
A neighbour of the family in the small town of Olopa told Reuters news agency that Wilmer's mother had decided to migrate to the US because she had "realised that her son had special needs and that if she stayed here she would not be able to treat him due to lack of money".
