Found these profound words on Facebook.

There are Christians who are ok with forcibly separating migrant children from their families...who are also enthusiastically preparing for summer mission trips to these same children's countries.

The level of cognitive dissonance and hypocrisy are astounding.

I visited with a former classmate last week. He regularly goes to Mexico for a mission. As his grandchildren are old enough he takes them with him. He said he wants to show them how other people live.

I had just returned from a short trip to the Portland OR area. I told him how surprised I was about so many homeless people camped out along the interstate highway. He said there were a lot of homeless like that where he lives in northern Washington state. I was almost dumbfounded. I replied, "See, you don't have to go very far to see how other people live, you can help there."

He immediately changed the subject.

The main reason is that it’s against the religion to massacre pagans. They had to save their souls first.

Didn’t know you had to convert first. That seems to take all the incentive out of the whole exercise.

at a time. They would then give them Spanish names and were free from sin to kill them. That’s why so many Latinos tend to have the same last names, like Martinez, Hernandez, Rodrigues, Gomez or García.

The conquering settlers deliberately caused millions of American natives’s deaths. It was the overlooked holocaust of the natives of the the New World.
