Her parents struggled in the deep south during the civil rights movement. The people in that stadium old enough to remember this struggle, likely threw rocks at them. She is pro choice while the GOP takes a more radical stance against women than they did in their party platform in 1956. She is in a forum where another African American woman was called an animal and had food thrown at her.
I wonder of Condi is aware of this?
I wonder if she saw it?
I wonder if she heard it?
It must be really hard not having a true home. It must be really difficult sitting among so many people that regardless of what she ever does, will never like her because of her gender and background.
Is she aware that she is a pawn?
That she is a token?
Does she know that she is strategically placed for the cameras to act as "cover" for the true thoughts and policies that survey that stadium
Seeing Condi sitting next to Romney is really strange.
I wonder what Condi is thinking tonight.

(13,081 posts)She thinks that she's so goddamned amazing she's better than the "welfare rabble" (to use an old and current RW talking point/dog whistle), yet it never occurs to her that more than a few people in the audience would lynch her tomorrow with smiles on their faces...because she doesn't see herself as one of "those people."
Honestly Ive always felt a little sorry for her. At heart she's just gullible, and believes the bullshit talking points about e modern right wing not being racist anymore.

(1,687 posts)Sadly, I think the opposite is true. Her dad registered as a Repub because the Democrats wouldn't take him. A sad time in American history.

(3,660 posts)She has used the GOP party as much as they have used her and she has gained tremendously by being a sell out on issues such as race, gender and abortion. At the end of the day she see's herself as one of the most prominent and powerful women in the party.
