Birtherism card is being played against Kamala Harris

Kamala Harris was born in Oakland. Her mother was Tamil Indian; her father was born in Jamaica. Birtherism is racism, full stop. You don’t need to support Harris for the Presidency. But if you are black and buying into this, you are aiding and abetting.

Birtherism got them a President, so surely they were going to use it to help keep him. Harris was a threat to these kinds of people long before her emergence at the debate.

But would it be incorrect to point out that her experience (and her family's) is not typical of the vast majority of African-Americans? Neither was Barack Obama's, but his wife and his children had an experience of being black in America that he could surely feel and empathize with.
