Victory!!!!!!......Judge blocks Trump policy keeping asylum-seekers locked up

U.S. District Judge Marsha Pechman ruled Tuesday that people who are detained after entering the country illegally to seek protection are entitled to bond hearings....SNIP.........

“The court reaffirmed what has been settled for decades: that asylum-seekers who enter this country have a right to be free from arbitrary detention,” Matt Adams, legal director of the Northwest Immigrant Rights Project, said in a written statement. “Thousands of asylum-seekers will continue to be able to seek release on bond, as they seek protection from persecution and torture.”

Pechman also said the burden must be on the government at such hearings to show that keeping asylum-seekers in custody is necessary because they pose a flight risk or a danger to the public.

The best thing to do would be to take all the money the RNC has received for the 2020 campaign and give it to the asylum seekers.

Yes, I know that's not going to happen, but I can still wish!

actually, we are paying for all the immigration stuff...trump is giving our money away to the contractors who run the camps, an do of course they are keeping actual ex[enses down to a minimum...imagine how much money they save for not having to pay for beds and laundry and food and medicine for the victims.

It’s been a rough day and I treasure every small victory. Every court ruling that has gone our way is so encouraging and uplifting to me. This is another big one. Once people start being released pending trial, watch for their testimonies, it will all come out. And, Where Are The Girls????????? Then I’m back on the seesaw. Yikes.
