It was all quite egalitarian, people milling around, sitting on blankets, adults and children. If you wanted to be close to the stage, you had to get there very early and stake out your territory... couldn't buy access. You brought your own picnic and shared with the people nearby.

Somehow I don't think that Trump's VIP section will be like that.

PBS airs that program, and it features recording artists and celebrities like Carole King, the National Symphony Orchestra and muppets from Sesame Street. King has made clear that she is taking part in the PBS event and not -- repeat: not! -- the Trump event.
