The Republicans are engineering the most radical, extreme reconfiguring of American government, legal system and national character that has ever been attempted in the nation's history.
They want to fundamentally change the foundation of the US into a monotheistic, autocratic dystopia.
There's nothing conservative about it.

(13,776 posts)I would also like to know what people who call themselves Christians think about whats happening.
Until now I honestly did not have contempt for them. But this is DEFINITIVELY not what Jesus would do. Any one of them who accepts and approves of the treatment of migrants is disappointing Jesus.

(16,846 posts)Just how can they call themselves conservative when they want to dismantle the system we've had for 240+ years? Their end game is to take any and all power from the people and put it in the hands of the corporations. They hate democracy. I know that we're a democratic republic and not a pure democracy, but at least Democrats believe in fair elections so the people can be accurately represented. The Republican Party is fascist and is totally opposed to the western liberalism this country was founded on. If they have their way, the U.S. is going to be like China.
