But lets never forget they are designed to kill people.
Our troops fought so we would never have to see military hardware. So we could celebrate with flags and flowers. Not death machines.

(146,317 posts)Holman Field in downtown St. Paul, MN this weekend. The approach to that airport goes right over my house. Last time, I got to watch a B-17 and a B-24 fly over at about 1500 ft.
My father was a B-17 pilot in WWII, stationed in Italy and North Africa, near the end of the war. I will go out and watch again if they fly over this weekend. He's 94 years old, now. Thanks Dad! Wish you were here to see them.
