Yes, the planes are impressive.
But let’s never forget they are designed to kill people.

Our troops fought so we would never have to see military hardware. So we could celebrate with flags and flowers. Not death machines.

Holman Field in downtown St. Paul, MN this weekend. The approach to that airport goes right over my house. Last time, I got to watch a B-17 and a B-24 fly over at about 1500 ft.

My father was a B-17 pilot in WWII, stationed in Italy and North Africa, near the end of the war. I will go out and watch again if they fly over this weekend. He's 94 years old, now. Thanks Dad! Wish you were here to see them.

In and of itself, any cost in savings by cancelling it would be simply reincorporated back into the military budget.
