1. It is worrying that Aslani

was taken off on a back board with a neck brace. They are obviously considering spinal cord injuries, suggesting she was experiencing numbness or inability to move the lower part of her body.

That's really not good. She is a great player and a fierce challenger.

We'll see - I actually didn't see her injury and removal - was cooking.

which again raises the possibility to me that she was reporting numbness/paralysis and they didn't want to chance moving her.

I'm a Neuropsychologist and tend to process everything through that filter.

So, of course, I had to think spinal cord injury!

abundance of caution, and you hope that is all that it is. Might be nothing, but it could be really, really bad.

Than Sweden, but the US and Sweden have played so many times before, it'll be nice to see them play the Dutch instead.

I would lave laughed at you. But I have been watching more and more soccer over the years.

This World Cup has been incredible.

One of the managers working for me is Brazilian-American. He is also a big fan although he is following Brazil in the COPA even more closely.

He commented today that if the American Men were as technologically sound as the women we would compete for the World Cup every 4 years.

They really are special.

The US could have been knocked out in any game this year. (After group play)

Good luck to the US team in the finals.

Never saw them losing a single game here. The team is well balanced.
I expect the keeper to have more work to do in the final, but she has been sound and saved that penalty calmly yesterday.

This is only the second time the Netherlands have made the WC so reaching the final is quite an achievement.
I don't see them beating the USA but as they say the ball is round.

The rich Euro clubs see women’s football as their growth potential and are dumping in tons of money.

It’s not like the men’s game can gain more fans there!

Rapinoe referred to this and how we had better find a way to keep up.

But I think the support for the women’s game will stick. Our local team, the Pride, has Alex Morgan and just signed Marta.

If someone raised as a hard core SEC football fan, which I still am, can get into this game anyone can.
