Big Ag-Funded Congressmen Compare Investigations Of Animal Abuse To Terrorism

Late last week, three California House Republicans — Reps. David Nunes, Kevin McCarthy, and Jeff Denham — allied to the industry sent a letter to the Department of Agriculture asking it to take action against animal welfare groups and their “onslaught” of undercover investigations at factory farms.

In a blog post about the letter, Nunes used shrill rhetoric to describe these investigations. And the trend towards more vegetarian and organic diet is a good trend. The problem is, we can't expect and demand (and blame game) everybody to change their dietary habits overnight, when the problem is mostly structural and political and cultural.

What can you contribute to change, in addition to your words and opinions? Have you done something to increase the supply and availability of organic vegetarian food to ordinary people? If you have, please share your experience so that others may benefit.
