It seems I am.
I have some tiny history with government. I served 2 terms as a Democratic councilman back in the 70's in Trump country. I had a primary job working in a factory on swing shift never less than 40 hours a week.
I served on the Rec. board committee and attended their meetings, served on the firemen's and attended their meetings, served on the zoning and drove on my own to a university to attend a seminar to educate myself, served on the streets, and when I got a call to look at someone's catch basin, I went. Yes, I was paid, 20 dollars a month.
With this backdrop, I'm asking this question, what would Republicans be doing if Trump were a Democrat? Trump called Epstein a good friend who liked young girls. Trump's phone numbers are in Epstein's little black book. Trump appointed a man who got Epstein a sweetheart deal as Secty of Labor. Republicans would have a unified message and would be hitting the talk shows making Democrats support accused pedophiles. So far we have Ted Lieu tweeting that Acosta should resign or be fired. I will be waiting for more Democrats to respond, after all Congress only officially works a little over 100 days a year and it's their primary job. Without a Democratic uproar, A.G. Barr is going to bury this Epstein case because the complicit M$M will cover for him.
Am I being too tough on Democrats? Alert on me, I'm not going to change. I did what was right when I was in government.

These Mueller hearings are going to be extremely important. Democrats cannot f*ck this up. They need to pick out 3 or 4 people on the committees who are sharp as tacks and make the not as sharp members cede their time to them. This will also eliminate people asking the same questions and allow for follow up questions more smoothly.
Democrats need to come prepared for these Mueller hearings, there is no excuse for them to not be prepared.
The Freedumb caucus is probably rehearsing its "questions" now.

(9,779 posts)Every association and on down the line are not infallible. We have no problem calling out a Home Owners Association when we think they are not looking out for the communitys welfare. No problem going to a union meeting and trying to correct some actions of the leaders. No skin off our noses admonishing our book club when it seems to veer off course.
Why should we be demonized when trying to point out the parties weaknesses? Sometimes aspects of a group which are considered by some to be problems lead to a betterment of said group. Self introspection of groups is as important as personal self-searching, it is a tool for growth. When inadequacies are noticed and pointed out to either a group or individual and either complains way too much or gets angry at the revelation it proves that the actions should have been discussed long ago.
