If you read the Miami Herald's outstanding four-part investigation into Epstein and his activities - and there had to be so much they left out due to legal ramifications - you must realize what we've seen so far is only the tip of the iceberg.

I think this thing could crack wide open and take a LOT of wealthy, powerful and previously untouchable men down.

Because no one can state the source of his money...not Forbes, BusinessWeek or anyone. He handled the money for the guy who owned Victoria's Secret but that was years ago, since then it's all nebulous. All the matters surrounding him don't ring true in any way.

... but I don't believe he has any prior involvement with Epstein. So no recusal for Berman on Epstein. This Epstein case is getting interesting. It almost reads like Michael Connolly mystery/thriller.

The 'acting' appointments expire after a few months. However, there's a rule that allows the federal court justices in a particular district to extend such appointments when there has been no action by the executive branch, rather than let the position just go vacant. That's what happened here.
