The best guess would be who knows
For all his infamy, there are scant details of how he made his money. While hes frequently been called a billionaire, his net worth is hard to ascertain. He ran a money management firm catering to the ultra-rich, primarily for Victorias Secret founder Les Wexner, but its assets were never made public and few on Wall Street have dealt with him as a financier or money manager.
According to his lawyers more than a decade ago, he had a net worth in excess of nine figures. Today, so little is known about Epsteins current business or clients that the only things that can be valued with any certainty are his properties. The Manhattan mansion is estimated to be worth at least $77 million, according to a federal document submitted in advance of Epsteins bail hearing.
He also has properties in New Mexico, Paris and the U.S. Virgin Islands, where he has a private island, and a Palm Beach estate with an assessed value of more than $12 million. He shuttles between them by private jet and has at least 15 cars, including seven Chevrolet Suburbans, according to federal authorities.

Billionaire Jeffrey Epstein Due In Court To Face Sex Charges, read a CNN chyron. Jeffrey Epstein, Billionaire Long Accused of Molesting Minors, Is Charged, said the New York Times.
Forbes has never included Epstein, 66, in its rankings of the Worlds Billionaires, since there is scant proof he holds a ten-figure fortune. As we wrote in 2010, The source of his wealtha money management firm in the U.S. Virgin Islandsgenerates no public records, nor has his client list ever been released.
Still, Epstein once mingled with billionaires, including President Trump. Ive known Jeff for fifteen years. Terrific guy, Trump told New York Magazine in 2002. Hes a lot of fun to be with. It is even said that he likes beautiful women as much as I do, and many of them are on the younger side.
Moreover, Epsteins former clients include Leslie Wexner, the billionaire founder of Victorias Secret; Epstein served as a trustee of The Wexner Foundation. A spokesperson for the retailer says that, Mr. Wexner severed ties with Mr. Epstein more than a decade ago.

(4,386 posts)He took a position at Bear Stearns in '76, then was made a limited partner, left the firm in 81' to start his own business, based from the Virgin Islands. Supposedly he only took on billionaires for clients. His fortunes rose, but no one knows exactly how.
