What is important to realize re Barr, Trump, repubs in general - this is a culture war and they must

win at all costs. (well, for trump it is power, narcissism and greed - but for those elements that are using religion - it is an unholy war). Those of us on the left have no concept of the ruthlessness of them all, of their utter belief that their way is the only way - they HATE us and all that we stand for. We are open minded, curious, kind, empathetic - all of that is completely dangerous to their world view. They need followers - they thrive on ignorance.

What we are seeing with the hijacking of the country is approaching handmaid's tale type dystopia. They will not give this war up easily - I hope that those of us on the left are ready for the tenacity at which they will stop at nothing to preserve - increase - their power. Because they is great wealth in that power - and they are all also self loathing, indecent, broken human beings who hate us for being the opposite.

for the 2020 election. They need to pull out all the stops to keep Trump in the WH, maintain the Senate and take back the House. They will stop at nothing to do that. They have no morals. They will fight to maintain their power base.

We Dems need to be ready for that and smarter than they are. They have to be stopped or we're screwed.
