Re-post: Breitbart's White House correspondent joins White House
New York (CNN Business)The White House correspondent for Breitbart, a far-right website supportive of President Trump, has joined the Trump administration, people familiar with the matter told CNN.
A spokesperson for the White House confirmed the hire after this story was first published. The spokesperson said Michelle Moons, the correspondent, will work in the office of Domestic Policy Council.
Moons, who did not respond to requests for comment, worked at Breitbart for more than five years before accepting the new job.
Breitbart employees were notified of the hire on Monday morning.
"She's been an integral part of our DC team and we are very proud of her," read a message sent to the employees from Jon Kahn, Breitbart's chief operating officer.
