Fri Jul 12, 2019, 10:21 AM
Jul 2019

Will the bible beating, flag wavers ever comprehend that they are the victims of outright charlatans who are fleecing them. These are the common working folks who bought the Republican propaganda that unions were their enemy and corporations would provide them with a better deal. What a deal. No pensions, cut heath care to the bone and outsourced their jobs. Like it has been said for centuries there is a sucker born every moment. What really puzzles me is when minorities support a party that is intent on taking away the voting rights and enslave them in ghettos. It is ironic to see these pathetic victims sporting MAGA hats endorsing a return to those glorious days of open and flagrant discrimination or the working class whites who lived in hopeless desperation until Roosevelt created a path to the creation of a middle class. I am in my 80's and I well remember my brothers and I bringing my dad something to eat when he walked the picket lines. Picket lines that were opposed by hired thugs and laws banning unionization. These people are so damn misinformed or down right stupid to not realize they are being fleeced like sheep and then led to the slaughter house.

71. L Brands Falls as Les Wexner Ties to Epstein Come Under Scrutiny
Fri Jul 12, 2019, 12:41 PM
Jul 2019
https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2019-07-08/wexner-needs-even-more-distance-from-epstein-crisis-consultant

Victoria’s Secret -- already burdened by weak sales and calls to evolve in the #MeToo era -- is facing another controversy it doesn’t need: leader Les Wexner’s name appearing in reports about disgraced financier Jeffrey Epstein.

Wexner employed Epstein as a money manager for years, building a relationship close enough for Epstein to buy his Manhattan mansion. On Monday, federal prosecutors unsealed new charges claiming Epstein ran a sex-trafficking ring, which included girls as young as 14. Wexner hasn’t been accused of any wrongdoing himself.

Victoria’s Secret parent company L Brands Inc., which he founded, hasn’t publicly commented on Wexner’s link to Epstein. Wexner, who has declined to comment, severed ties with Epstein more than a decade ago.

‘Saying Nothing’

The company may have to consider a more robust response, including a public effort to distance the lingerie company from its founder’s former fund manager. L Brands shares fell as much as 3.5% Tuesday, the most in about a month, while the S&P 500 index was little changed.

“Wexner needs to immediately and forcefully distance himself from Epstein, personally and professionally, and condemn Epstein’s actions in no uncertain terms,” said Jonathan Bernstein, a crisis-management consultant, noting that the company should proactively come forward with a statement. “You can’t separate the Wexner name from L Brands. He’s the founder of the company. There’s no such thing as saying nothing.”

If Epstein turns and starts naming who he played, it could get real messy. Apparently there is already a civil case won by one of the then young girls against Epstein's accomplice that names a lot of John Does. The only John Doe who we know for sure was named is Alan. That's why he's so pissed off. Why he wasn't prosecuted in criminal court, I don't know. This could either blow up huge, or "shrug" go the way of most rich scandals where mysteriously most crimes aren't prosecuted. But in some ways, the naming of names will be enough to damage a lot of these men.

Some would say that the new Epstein arrest was a little odd on timing. Three days after an appeals court ruled that a lot of info/documents in another related case should be made public. These docs could uncover dirt on a lot of people. Some would say maybe even DJT. So what happens? Epstein is arrested. This shines the light back on him. Maybe it even stops the docs release. Oh and the little side benefit is that they raided his NY townhouse and took away tons of evidence. Some would say that Epstein may have been holding something on the Don. That "something" will never see the light of day. These people are absolute criminals.

The media creates a circus around Epstein, and all of the other scumbags slither away. For now.

This is all just an opinion.

July 3rd-The court Wednesday ruled that some records in a defamation lawsuit filed by Virginia Roberts Giuffre against Ghislaine Maxwell, Epstein’s alleged associate, be made public, vacating a Manhattan judge’s prior ruling to keep the documents private.

The court also asked a district court to conduct a review of the remaining sealed documents.

They had a 53 page indictment. They already had it in the can waiting for the decision to come down? Epstein arrested on the 7nth after a trip abroad. Only 4 days later. Time line fits nicely.

The other option is they want a different route to DT. It was pursued prior to Barr, I would think, given the whole process of a grand jury-but I am no expert. Maybe the Mueller team saw links to Epstein. Would it be so far-fetched?
Does the SDNY have access to those sealed docs? Maybe they intend to use them when released. At this point I would say it puts pressure on the judge to release them all.

Labor Secretary Alexander Acosta, under fire for securing a plea deal for convicted pedophile and newly indicted businessman Jeffrey Epstein, resigned his post under pressure today, leaving as acting secretary a man who’s considered more aggressively pro-business than Acosta.

Current Labor Deputy Secretary Patrick Pizzella, who will become acting secretary until the president names a permanent replacement, is reportedly poised to move more quickly than his predecessor to reverse Obama-era regulations that irk businesses.
