"I was not surprised by what I saw," said VP Pence of the overcrowded detention facility for adult men. Pence said he knew it was "overcrowded" and "overwhelmed." But he was confident they are provided food and water and "access to hygiene." Pool Photo @jdawsey1.

I have access to all kinds of posh new cars, I can go to any lot to look and touch any car I like. However, I can't afford to buy one. So when this "good Christian man" says prisoners have "access to hygiene" it means they might have water.

Oh, maybe there's a locked storage closet somewhere in the building with a few packages of soap or toothpaste, but they are denied the use of them.

The agent in charge of the McAllen facility said men
are allowed to brush their teeth once a day and are
given deodorant after showering. But he conceded
that many had not showered for 10 or 20 days because
the facility previously didn't have showers.
