Regarding the census:

“We looked at inserts, we looked at all types of options,” Gidley continued. “And the president said: ‘Listen. I’m not going to be beholden to courts anymore. I have the legal authority to find out this information. The American people deserve to know it. So I’m moving forward with this method.”

It'll happen when Ferguson happens again or something else similar triggers it. In this climate community/police clashes are going to become more common and more violent. The right will blame the left. The police will hurt people. It's just what the right wants to happen and I think it likely to. The right will astroturf 'leftist' violence. It's all bad.
