They (GOP Senators with enough votes to enforce their comments) have already pledged to vote down ANY impeachment attempt by the Democratic House.

A failed impeachment attempt would simply rally Trump supporters to vote for their crime syndicate, in upcoming election bids, by Trump and GOP senators.
