Maybe there will be change re. "migration detention centers" when

Cubans fleeing their island are thrown in cages, their children ripped from their bosoms, given snack food, aluminum foil for blankets, no access to potable water, and no showers for more than a month.

You can't have a two-tiered system of immigration.

They have no issue gerrymandering the immigration policy to achieve their goals. Whatever it takes to retain power. Cuban immigrants have been loyal republicans so they’ll get a pass.

There are millions of European citizens here whose tourist visas have expired but there are no mass round-ups of those immigrants. Difference? Skin color.
