(58,352 posts)I also get what the cartoonist is saying but don't like the use of Linus to do it. It's implying that the wise and Biblically literate and ethically correct, though they have an insecurity, are the ones propping up Donald and relying on him as their security blanket.
Should have had some generic person representing the GOP, and then in the corner have Linus with his blanket saying something like "Wow. My security blanket is truth and mercy."
