"SNIP......

“Just days after state Rep. Robert Foster (R) said he wouldn’t be alone with a woman not his wife, even in a professional context, a second Republican candidate for governor has said he, too, follows what’s known as the ‘the Billy Graham rule,” Mississippi Today reports.

Former state Supreme Court Chief Justice Bill Waller Jr. (R) said “that he would not be alone with a woman who isn’t his wife, even in a personal or professional context.”

Said Walker: “I just think it’s common sense. I just think in this day and time, appearances are important and transparency’s important, and people need to have the comfort of what’s going on in government between employees and people.”

......SNIP"

It’s self protection from the evil, lying women who destroy men with their lies about groping and raping. Women will get ya if you give them a chance, especially if you become an important person.

They’re also witches who used to be burned to death after frolicking naked in the woods with the demons.

A man has to protect himself at all costs.

But what sort of surprises me, if that more people didn’t see this coming....

Not saying that all females are evil, but a man has to protect himself that that one that might have an agenda.

Sorry, the world is a different place - and memories of what may or might happen can change over time.

But not because I think there's a reasonable worry of 'the women' being evil (esp. since we're talking about female reporters), but rather because other people who might report on the interactions you have with them ... may have an agenda against you. Tabloid photographers, etc.

There's a difference between the two concerns.

And here on DU, in my experience, these sorts of matters must be approached delicately to avoid reproach ... and you're probably not exhibiting the requisite sensitivity in your verbiage ... Just sayin'.

As such, I'd prepare for some 'clarifications' in your future

So are he and his wife fitted for matching chastity belts? If you cannot trust yourself, or women to be in control of behaviors then you need to do some serious introspection.

Okay I am being mildly facetious here but how is this significantly different from putting women into a burka? Like when women had to wear Victorian bathing suits that extended below the knee cap and have a bodice and police measured the hems so as to "not cause a spectacle" So, because some men cannot control their impulses you have these white knucklers making these lame rules. How about not doing anything inappropriate and not lusting after women?

The whole implications of lack of control around women aside, it also speaks a lot about the other women that they leave out of the 'I'll be alone with list'.

They must be truly disturbed individuals if their own mothers can't be safe alone with them.

This is the Conservative mind set, they think all men are animals because they themselves can't keep control around women. They think they couldn't stop themselves from raping any woman if they got her alone, that's that this boils down too.

Sick and frightening.
