Thank you Speaker Pelosi.. for standing up for our Congresswomen who have been attacked

because the attacks are only beginning, and they are going to have to stand tough.. Donald Trump is not a normal politician, that you can shame or push back.. he has no moral center.. nothing affects him, because he has nothing to be affected.. He lacks heart , he lacks soul, his own children are only useful as long as they promote him..

So Reps... Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, D-N.Y.; Ilhan Omar, D-Minn.; Ayanna Pressley, D-Mass.; and Rashida Tlaib, D-Mich.,...you are going to have your hands full..but there are four of you, and you have Speaker Pelosi standing in the well of house for you also.. be brave, but calm.. you are going to want to throw back the garbage that is going to be thrown at you.. take a breath.. be the adults in the room..

They are going to try and pin you like they have Speaker Pelosi.. like they did to Senator Clinton.. they have been through this and know the pitfalls..and can be a real source of strength for you..

I also support the Squad. But Speaker Pelosi is handling the move towards inevitable impeachment very well.

I mean, really, don’t you realize this particular episode started when Pelosi mocked the squad to Maureen Dowd? I think the four congresswomen can be forgiven for taking a DIY approach to their own self-protection.

Not overtly but by not taking it seriously, puts us in a position where we can't affect the outcome and are left hanging with no where to go thus mocking us by taking us for granted.

Democratic colleagues on Twitter? Of course Pelosi protects them (not their behavior!) as citizens and congressmen against Trump's and the Republicans' attacks. They're members of the house caucus and it's both her duty and her personal choice as a strong liberal. She's not too stupid to correctly identify our real enemies.

But it's not my duty to defend them, and I absolutely do NOT "forgive" them for attacking Democrats in this critical election season instead of Republicans. Incredibly stupid and irresponsible behavior.

And you, Beyond? This could just be the last election in which you feel safe to state your real views publicly. The right is compiling files on virtually all of us, Trump's administration is downloading most of our DMV pictures to facial recognition software, and all our internet posts would be available to them if they finished getting control of our government. Within fewer years than we have fingers on one hand, forums like this could be a thing of the past, with even conservatives afraid and doing their best not to attract the attention of a government that would make Trump's constitutionally constrained presidency look like the last of the good old days.

We're going to stop them, just as our grandparents did, in spite of the idiots and fifth columnists among us. But what if we don't? It's past time to wonder if any of us here could someday be sent to concentration camps in the desert, Beyond. Real ones that people don't leave.

Worst case, of course. Maybe those whose jobs are disappearing will just be required to replace the immigrant laborers they've "cleansed" the nation of. Ever wondered just who they expect to shell crabs when they've finished that? The current attacks on education, especially higher education, is a huge clue. If the alternative was to be considered among those neither needed nor useful, standing at tables shelling crabs would be a desirable job.

subpoenas, ordered document request to be ignored. Pelosi should let her committees immediately do a contempt of congress vote within 24-48 hours, the full house vote a day later and if Barr still refuses, Pelosi orders her people to undertake an impeachment inquiry to begin. Lets have a public airing of what is happening FORCE witnesses to the table and then vote to impeach. Doesn't matter if Mitch McConnel refuses to hold a trial on Barr, hell that would be a PR win, if he does hold a trail, it places many VULNERABLE republicans on the record.

When I hear democrats in Congress why bother if a conviction is 100% assured...like wtf, 99% of democratic bills Pelosi passes will see NO vote in the Senate so she all work stop in the HOuse. Pelosi and democrats have a constitutional duty, we gave them the power with all the efforts WE made. Its being wasted so far.

so far no trump action or trump admin official has accountability and are sticking the finger to democrats and winning

The committees are following those processes and Pelosi isn't stopping them - in fact, she's not only letting to them proceed, she and Nadler led the passage of legislation that expedites those processes.

The Speaker can't "order her people" to do anything. They are elected representatives acting on behalf of their constituents - most of whom, at this point, don't support impeachment, despite the views of the Impeach Now contingent on DU. As we saw yesterday, 2/3 of the Democratic Caucus isn't ready to move forward on impeachment. Nancy Pelosi isn't going to "order" them to change their minds.

I'm pretty sure that no one who's demanding Pelosi use her imaginary powers to force a majority of her caucus to impeach would be screaming foul if the Speaker "ordered her people" to take an action they didn't agree with.

Does our leadership or members not feel the "fierce urgency of now?"

Where, o' where is Steny? Green's motion to impeach, TABLED.

My tortured mind is increasingly haunted by a spectre of "paper dragons." Allusions to Oz abound, and "Pay no attention to that man behind the curtain!"

I wonder, what good are representatives who ostensibly share my values if they lack the courage to FIGHT for them?

My patience wears increasingly thin with the slow-walking. Meanwhile, the Leader of Deplorables owns the news cycle.

No, sorry, I am incapable of the congratulations or other niceties for a glass half-empty and empty proclamations and platitudes by persons who--though bearing the normally admirable trait of mild-manner--appear half-asleep in the face of our national emergency.

Not a happy camper here.

Might loosing the fateful lightning of the terrible, swift sword (metaphorically speaking) on this ever-present danger command more attention and respect in pursuit of that end? I agree, that is the end. The debate is how we go about achieving it. At present, I'm militant (or to put it more constructively, "Fired up and ready to go!&quot .

Apologies, but the SJW within me is severely testing my satyagrahi nature!

She understands the political process, has a game plan that she is working at, and is focused on defeating tRump in 2020. All the while critical data is being compiled that will be available when the time is right. What more can sane people ask for?
