How can we be labeled socialists, but they not be labeled fascists?

Even though they may have stumbled into it, a few days ago, the GOP began a coordinated campaign to turn the four Democratic members of Congress who Trump has attacked into the SOCIALIST face of the Democratic Party. Like most similar coordinated GOP lying operations, it will probably work, in spite of its being total garbage. Why will their campaign work? It will work because they don’t care about ethics, or about right and wrong. They care about winning!

Their lies about the Democrats being socialists is working and will continue to work, so why will the truth about the GOP/Trump party, that it is the party of fascism, NOT be successfully planted in the minds of a large group of swing voters? Here’s why: It would not be NICE to accuse them of that, even though it would be THE TRUTH! Yeah….that would not be nice, and our side plays nice.

The reality is that the GOP is in the throes of its last gasp effort to have twenty percent of the populace exert almost total hegemony over the rest of us. They know like the rest of us that demographic changes are unstoppable, and that those demographic changes will make it almost impossible for the GOP to control the levers of power going forward. So they lie and lie, and they slander and slander.

They are going for broke, realizing that if their dictatorial efforts fail, that won’t be any worse for them than doing nothing, since at the end of the day, failing at their fascist efforts and doing nothing will result in the same demographic slaughter of their party. They know that they have nothing to lose!

Yes, the GOP has gone all in on fascism, trying to rig elections, suppressing voters, gerrymandering, unprecedentedly not giving our Supreme Court nominee even a hearing (helping to give them almost total control over the judiciary), taking foreign money, cooperating with Russian efforts to throw our elections, allowing the president to act in a statutorily and constitutionally lawless manner, on and on and on……

But…..it wouldn’t be nice to label them as the party that’s aiding and abetting fascism, so we don’t do it, even though it’s the truth! They go out and effectively tell horrible lies about us, and fight hard to turn those lies into the truth in the minds of millions of swing voters, but our party is not willing to fight just as hard to tell horrible truths about them. For example, they have held years of hearings about total BS charges against Democrats, but we have not so far been able to hold a few simple hearings and have them testify about actual truths!

I give our party credit for connecting racism to the GOP. Over the last week, we have been very effectively casting the Republicans in Congress as a group that accepts and even supports presidential racism. But it’s time to tell the FULL truth: This campaign is about democracy and the rule of law vs. not just racism, but also, fascism.
