I don't think democrats make themselves clear on certain issuses. For example

when they passed the affordable care act. That was a good piece of legislation that helped many people attain affordable medical care.Just after that the repubs began calling it Obama Care and saying how bad it really was. Many who vote republican took the bait hook line and sinker that Obama care would destroy the medical care in this country. Here the catch, those who hated Obama care liked the medical plan that they had, The Affordable Care Act. Yet, they hated Obama Care. Why in the hell didn't the democrats, around the country, explain to these knuckleheads that they were the same? That, I believe, could have changed some minds

example : allowing so much state involvement allowed sabotage by repub state legislatures and governors. many states still have not expanded medicare .

the rollout of the exchange software was fumbled.

and Obama gave them the "if you like your doctor …." quote which, of course, we had no control over the private sector insurance networks.

gone to the Senate to die is the raising minimum wage bill. Every Democrat in front of every camera should be making it clear they passed the bill to raise the minimum wage, but Republicans must vote for it in the Senate for it to get as far as Trump. They should reiterate that if Republicans don't vote on this bill or vote it down, minimum wages won't increase until Trump is gone and Democrats have a majority in both the House and Senate.
