If you are willing to surrender your own common sense, your right to think for yourself and your own self interest, you can listen to the hired voices telling you how stupid and out of touch our party is and how hopeless are our chances in 2020. You can allow unnamed and unfriendly people to state as a fact that "the country just isn't ready for a gay/woman/black woman/liberal/moderate/socialist president" and you can permit that bought-and-paid-for propaganda to dispirit you. OR---

---to can remember the difference between facts and bullshit; the difference between political vision and shameless lies; the difference between policy and impulse---the DIFFERENCE between ANY Democrat and ANY Republican.

Trump cannot defeat us, but if we dither and squabble and pout and allow our idea of the perfect be the enemy of the good---we may have to watch him slither back into the White House.
