The assault upon the truth

When you hold up one of those plastic apples, from a distance, it is hard to distinguish from a real apple. This is the way the Trump White House handles the truth. They tell people it is a real apple.

People are confused. They want to believe him. And from appearances, he looks to them to be telling the truth. But, it is a lie.

Over and over, this trick is played upon his supporters. They see the apple from a distance and they say, "Of course, it is an apple!" It is just the 'fake news' lying about Donald Trump.

The constant attacks upon the truth take their toll. After a while, people shut out all information unless they trust the source. They trust Donald Trump to be honest with them. Unfortunately, he is not.

He gives them a shadow of something that looks like the truth but there is always a lie at its foundation. It is always with malicious intent, meant to further his own interest.

Until these lies are discovered and realized, we will continue to tilt at windmills. The truth cannot be camouflaged and sold as something it is not. The people must understand that the apple is plastic.
