With Fox News and hate radio pushing RW racist propaganda, and mainstream stations being preoccupied with Trump's racist, sexist rant of the day, are there any Liberal Radio talk shows like Al Franken's old show?
I was actually somewhat sad when Al Franken left radio and joined the Senate, because he was a liberal, knowledgeable and entertaining media personality. I did not necessarily want a left wing equivalent of Alex Jones who would spew anti-vax type junk science or sell gold, but from a left wing perspective. Listening to Franken was a refreshing respite from the usual angry, racist radio you typically hear.
While I like MSNBC's shows, i just don't have time to sit through cable news. It would be helpful to listen to an informative, but entertaining show on the way to work. Any suggestions?

Talk radio appeals much more to right-wingers, because it isnt dependent on the truth, but Id love to find something equivalent to Air America today. I grew up in the Bay Area, and I miss the old KGO, a talk radio station with moderate and liberal hosts who evenly discussed the events of the day without real bias. Id love to find such a station today.

The two shows from 3-5 are local. I really like the 3 o'clock show, the one from 4-5 is not their best effort.

Download yourself a podcast for your drive youll get better content with almost no ads (the inevitable Audible ad and an equally inevitable mattress ad notwithstanding) and the ability to choose your subject down to the most niche of niches. Theres a podcast for anything you can imagine; I just finished a twelve part series on operational centers of gravity in the Japanese invasion of Malaya in 1941 and then listened to 45 minutes on social class distinctions as represented by bread varieties in post-Roman Britain.
If I can find goofy shit like that youll have no trouble finding what you like.
