He had nothing to gain personally for this funding. He did it because he has compassion and respect for all those who stepped up when we needed them. Too bad our Jerk-in Chief will never understand that this is how a person of integrity and character should act.

He is a man of morals and compassion.
He has empathy and concern for his fellow human beings (and animals)
He wouldn't last long in the world of politics, "The System" would eat him alive.
